Guide and Senior Section Science Taster Day

Guides and Senior Section members from across the County visited the University of Oxford to find out more about opportunities in science. The day was organised by the Department of Computer Science and included sessions on programming, the mathematics of epidemics, planning for volcano eruptions, making a battery for a life jacket and how a variety of materials change when frozen with liquid nitrogen.
