Enthusiastic volunteers supporting Girlguiding Oxfordshire

Friends of Girlguiding Oxfordshire are a group of over 100 enthusiastic volunteers that support Girlguiding Oxfordshire.

Our aim is to assist Guides and Rangers plus their leaders who are selected for overseas visits, camps etc. We help units/members who need financial support and anyone in need of support who are involved in Guiding in Oxfordshire. We have also supported Jubilee House.

In addition, there are events that take place throughout the year and commence with a Thinking Day lunch. A visit to the Pantomime in Chipping Norton is always enjoyable and is preceded by a lunch provided for us by the local Trefoil Guild. Christmas lunch is a chance to get together for social gatherings before the year ends.

How do I get involved?

Membership is open to women, men and groups. Membership costs £12 per year for an individual or group. Life membership costs £250. You will receive up to two newsletters per year, an invitation to the Friend’s Annual General Meeting, and satisfaction of knowing that you will be supporting all aspects of Girlguiding Oxfordshire.

“It’s an opportunity to still provide a valuable service to the movement and a chance to get-together for social gatherings.”
