Division Commissioner – Andrea Bain

Chiltern Division comprises three Districts, Henley, Goring and Sonning Common. Although Chiltern is the smallest Division in terms of the number of Members it is quite rural and geographically covers a large area. There are currently three Rainbow units, eight Brownie units and four Guide units in the Division.

Henley is well known for the Annual Rowing Regatta, the River & Rowing Museum and Henley Festival. It is one of the larger towns in the South of Oxfordshire. The Guide unit was one of the first to be registered and celebrated its 100th birthday in 2015. The River Thames meanders its way through the Division running directly through both Henley and Goring. A large amount of the Division is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Sonning Common is located very close to the border of not only Berkshire but also the SW Region of Girlguiding and this provides a good link with for volunteers and girls in Sonning Common in Oxfordshire and Caversham District in Berkshire.
