Rosalie Brown Photography Competition

Are you a whizz with a camera?
Here is the chance to share your memories of the Centenary Year. Why don’t you take photographs at any of the events you go to? Take pictures that you think will illustrate what Guiding is about in 2010?

There will be a prize for the best entry in each section.

Pictures should be submitted with a copy of the attached official entry form that shows the size that the photograph should be. (We cannot accept electronic files)

You can submit up to 3 entries through your District Commissioner. Each one should be on a separate form please.

You will need to get permission to include members in the photographs. Adult members and/or guardians of young members should sign the entry form to give consent. Girlguiding Oxfordshire and/or Girlguiding UK may want to use some of the photos for publicity or displays. There will be a display at the Annual Review so that everyone can share your memories.

Photographs will be accepted any time up till 31 December 2010. Please submit your entries through your unit leaders, who will feed them up to District Commissioners and ultimately the panel of judges.

Winners will be announced in Oxlip and through your Districts by the end of March 2011. A panel including the County Arts Adviser, a professional photographer and the organisers will judge the competition

*Rosalie Brown was an Oxfordshire Brownie Guider and the author of many books on art and crafts for guides of all ages.

Download a copy of the entry form, or ask your unit leader to provide you with one.
