1st Bodicote Guides and 2nd Bloxham Guides

This year we took the plunge hired a coach and travelled to Foxlease for our unit camp. 2nd Bloxham Guides joined us for the adventure. A great success. It was touch and go to see if the coach driver could get all the equipment on the coach, but with a little help from the dads we did it. Everyone knuckled down and pushed the equipment up the hill to our site on trolleys and then got on with setting up, It was hard work and we were all worn out by bed time- first camp I have been to where the guides have been asleep before the leaders went to bed!! The weather was good to us and the activities were all a success. We had a Scottish theme and every one earned their tartan badge and also the camp fire challenge badge. Everyone took part in rafting climbing and crate stacking. The instructors were all great and every one had fun with many taking on new challenges, facing fears and making new friends. A big thanks to Marie for keeping us all fed, Cheryl for keeping the loos clean and the showers hot and to Lisa for coordinating the lot. The rain held off until we had packed up and came down as the coach was loaded for our trip home.

The sad part is always looking back at an empty field with no sign that we were ever there, suppose that is how it should be. Oh well, until the next time.
