Banbury Rugby Club played host to Cherwell Division Girl Guides Sports challenge. Three teams entered the Tag Rugby Tournament- 1st Adderbury Guides, 1st Bodicote Guides and 1st Middle Barton Guides. 1st Adderbury were last year‟s winners so keen to retain the trophy. All teams played each other and were supported by Banbury Belles Ladies rugby club mem-bers. All games were played for 7 minutes each way and we would like to say thank you to Kevin Coyne for refereeing and keeping order. 1st Adderbury re-tained the trophy by winning 2 of their three matches with 1st Middle Barton being close runners up. All the girls were rewarded for their efforts with refreshments at the end. Great fun was had by all and this is another fantastic example of how Girl Guides promotes diversity and equality.

The event was organised by Lisa Cook of Cherwell Division Girl Guides and Roger Graham of Banbury Rugby Club.
