Beanwood, Hill End

Beanwood, the County campsite, is a secluded and beautiful place, part of the Wytham Estate. Bequeathed to the Guides by Colonol ffennell - a South African philanthropist and Squire of Wytham village - in 1947, the site (including the gamekeeper's cottage) is to be available to the Guides for as long as they continue to use it. Access to the site is through Hill End wood. In addition to camps, the site is perfect for evening sessions at any time of year - for fire-building, backwoods cooking, and Wide games.
