World Thinking Day 2012

Each year on 22 February, Girl Guides all over the world celebrate World Thinking Day. This is a day for us all to think about each other and to give thanks for the international friendships that we can form through Guiding.
The theme for World Thinking Day 2012 is 'we can save our planet'. For activity ideas, information about the theme, and lots of resources, visit http://www.worldthinkingday.org.

The Oxfordshire Gang Show urgently needs chaperones for the week of the show (13th-17th March 2012) to help out in dressing rooms and backstage. Anyone interested needs to contact Emily East or Angela Peel by half term.
Think Big 2012

Think Big is a project run by O2 and the National Youth Agency (NYA). Girlguiding UK have been awarded 25 grants of £300 to put a project created by Senior Section members into action. Five of the projects will then be awarded a larger grant of £2,500. The application deadline is Friday, 17th February, so please pass encourage any Senior Section members who might be interested to apply without delay!
